Gate's is not an activist, she is trying to salve her conscience for taking more than her share. This is entirely self serving.

If Bill Gates had paid a living wage to all his employees and hadn't taken more than his share of the resources, so many other people would not have suffered and died in such terrible circumstances. This is about alleviating their guilt. They don't give what folks want or need. They give what they want to give.

@kwokfanfan3606 If the Gate's had paid their fair amount of tax rather than exploiting the loopholes a lot of the people she is "helping" wouldn't need any assistance. Many, many, many other people work as hard or much harder than she EVER did. She has gotten more than her share of the goodies, at the expense of other people's lives. That is why she does her "philanthropist work" to alleviate her conscience. And she gets to feel "good" and "generous". She does nothing to dismantle the structures that delivered more than her fair share to her. Because she would have to be honest about the structures of capitalism that enable the 1% to exploit the bottom 60% of society.

If Bill Gates had paid tax fairly rather than what was legal we would not have the problems we have today. There would not be minorities. Melinda Gates has benefited from taking more than her share her whole life. She is part of the problem, not the solution.

If Bill Gates had paid fair taxes and wages, instead of being greedy and taking more than his share he would not have the money he had today. He exploited folks and destroyed opportunities to use free unbuntu systems. These are not good and generous people. Others suffered so they got their wealth.
