If you look at statistics overall crime has gone down over the decades. The crime is up narrative is a right wing talking point mostly. However I agree that it takes more than just legalization. The rehabilitative opportunities have to be put in place as well. It’s a shift from criminalization to rehabilitation that needs to take place
