That is about 2%. the police he murdered at Stringybark Creek were all well respected in their communities. Sgt Kennedy had 5 young children and his wife was pregnant. Kelly knew that, but still shot him in cold blood with a shotgun to the chest while he was standing up. He then robbed the corpse. What a disgrace he was. Constable Lonigan had 4 children and his wife was also pregnant. Those police were just doing their duty keeping their communities free from the scourge that was Ned Kelly and his gang of thugs.

  5. Crowe Man you have no idea have you Crowe. There were no squatters in the Greta during the Kelly outbreak. The police were not corrupt as the Royal Commission found. The only people that were trodden on was Kelly's victims who he abused terribly. Kelly complained about the police who were rightly investigating his stealing of 280 horses.

Of the 14,500 people living in NE Victoria, Kelly's support was no more than 250, and they were extended families, and criminal associates. The vast majority of people in NE Victoria loathed Kelly and avoided the family where-ever and when-ever they could.

At Faithfull Creek Station, when a man stood up to Kelly, he placed the barrel of his revolver into his mouth and threatened to shoot him if he did not obey. He threatened Mrs Devine, the police officer's wife, at Jerilderie, threatening to murder her and her three children if she did not obey him. She suffered mentally for the rest of her life. At Stringybark Creek, after chasing Sgt Kennedy through the bush for some 800 metres, wounding him and then questioning him for about 2 hours, he put a shotgun to the sergeants chest and pulled the trigger. Kennedy had pleaded with Kelly to leave him alone, as his wife was pregnant, and he had five young children. Kennedy was not badly wounded, as he was standing upright when Kelly murdered him. That WAS deliberately cruel.

In fact, he was the one who was treading on poor settlers when he robbed from them, then stood over them threatening to do more damage to them if they reported the theft to the police.   44. Super Lets look at the facts. Ned Kelly was found a job by a police sergeant and that sergeant gave him money to get home and go to the job. Ned Kelly did not take up the job, did not pay the money back as he promised, then he turned to a life as a criminal.

  45. Riku The facts are the Ned Kelly shot Lonigan while he was standing still facing Kelly without a weapon in his hand. Kelly moved the aim of his rifle from McIntyre to Lonigan and shot him in the head immediately. That is exactly what happened as the evidence given by Constable McIntyre at Kelly's trial was given and he was cross examined on his testimony.

In all my comprehensive reading of court records, the Kelly's were let off numerous times, when their relatives gave perjured evidence to get them off. Courts were mostly manned by JP's. Decent men who followed the rule of law 100% of the time. You could not find one instance of a court acting improperly, and I challenge you to find one instance. The Royal Commission into Victoria Police, in 1881, found that the police acted properly regarding Ned Kelly's massive criminal network. Arrested as a teenager for a crime he didn't commit? What the hell are you talking about? He was properly convicted, usually by a jury of 12 men from his area. Present your evidence, Pablo, but you won't come back as you are talking fiction, myths and lies. If you think that what is presented in this video is factual, you have been conned big time.

If the truth was known by the majority of the population Ned Kelly would be treated the same as Ivan Milat and thoroughly despised. I would be interested to know where you are getting your information from as so much fiction lauding this serious criminal has invaded book shelves in the last 30 or so years and has distorted the facts.
