  1.  @thecoffeeaddict797  Intelligent Australians consider him a vicious murderer who does not deserve to be put on a pedestal, where fiction says he was downtrodden and gave to the poor. In fact, he was the one who was treading on poor settlers when he robbed from them, then stood over them threatening to do more damage to them if they reported the theft to the police. He NEVER gave to the poor, and he NEVER gave anything to his own family from his robberies. He was just a serious criminal.

The trouble he was having with police was because they were trying to curb his criminal behaviours. He admitted to having stolen at least 280 horses, and they were mostly from poor settlers. the police were acting properly regarding this criminal.

At Faithfull Creek station, when a man stood up to Kelly, he put the barrel of his revolver into his mouth and threatened to shoot him dead. At Jerilderie, he threatened to shoot the police officer's wife AND HER THREE CHILDREN dead if she didn't do exactly as he ordered. She suffered mentally for the rest of her life. Popular with the people? Be buggered he was. He was loathed by the people. Your understanding of this vicious murdering mongrel is pathetic.

  25. Red Kelly was not sentenced to 6 months gaol. He was fined, £25. Some say he was gaoled as he could not pay the fine, but there is no record of Red Kelly being in any gaol in the area. Is that another Kelly myth busted? The suggestion that the Kelly's worked their land is fiction. Neither Ellen or Ned Kelly worked the land.
