@CJTheReal " Mining was very limited", you say? Are you not aware that one of the greatest gold rushes in the world occurred in Victoria in the 1850's. A massive amount of gold was mined from Victoria, and gold is still being found today.

Review, Ned Kelly was no Robin Hood. There is plenty of evidence that Kelly stole from poor Irish settlers, almost certainly sending them bankrupt. Where do you get this rubbish from?
2
Chain 321 Still waiting to see your evidence. dum de dum.
2
@mariustan9275 Ned Kelly had no idea who he was murdering, other than he knew his victim was a police officer.
2
@nathanruedinger5881 So tell us, Nathan, how come most of the poor settlers in the Greta area, worked hard on their land, made a living and did not thieve like the Kelly's did? Why didn't the Kelly's do the same? Because it was easier to thieve from their neighbours, effectively sending many bankrupt.
2
Riku The facts are the Ned Kelly shot Lonigan while he was standing still facing Kelly without a weapon in his hand. Kelly moved the aim of his rifle from McIntyre to Lonigan and shot him in the head immediately. That is exactly what happened as the evidence given by Constable McIntyre at Kelly's trial was given and he was cross examined on his testimony.
2
Actually the Kelly family brought their own demise because of their criminality.
2
John Alexander The Royal Commission found the police acted with integrity regarding the Kelly's criminal actions. If you claim otherwise show us your evidence?
1
Blank please write in English next time, as what you have written is certainly not English in any way shape or form.
1
Milo The police were not corrupt as the Royal Commission found. Where are you getting your false information from?
1
Domyras what a pity the entire content is total fiction.
1
@drevil9554 Only some colonies were penal colonies. SA & Vic were NOT penal colonies sport.
1
@MegaMementoMori There were a lot of free settlers who came to Australia on their own volition.
1
@extrahistory What a pity you didn't read the facts instead of presenting the fiction you presented in this video.
1
@alexolas1246 NO, the majority of the people in the towns and in the country relied on the police to protect them from the criminality of the Kelly's. Most police were well respected in their communities
1
@gregoryharvey5198 RUBBISH. The towns folk despised Kelly and his mob of thieves, as they thieved from them whenever they could, often taking the only horse the poor settlers had. The vast majority of the population in North East Victoria, some 14,500 people opposed Kelly. The sympathisers numbering about 200 were pro Kelly.
1
@draco84oz Ned Kelly was just a serious criminal. The vast majority of the people despised Kelly and his criminal actions that effected them so detrimentally. Kelly was a criminal. The Eureka Stockade was an uprising about government charges, nothing more nothing less.
1
@hanssmirnov9946 Very few. Most were free settlers.
1
@Rob749s Don't talk rubbish Rob.
1
@garryfrater7536 Then tell me garry, how do you explain that the Victorian government in 1860 initiated the Lands Act that granted land on excellent terms to poor settlers. The legislation was not perfect, but by 1869 the matter was well and truly settled in favour of the settlers. Some 80% of those settlers succeeded.
1
@garryfrater7536 You haven't got a clue, have you? Almost all the squatters were gone by the time of the Kelly outbreak. He was mainly stealing from poor settlers, effectively sending several bankrupt. Get your facts straight before you shoot off at the mouth with your fiction.
1
Kyle Hart There are several, and they are all fictitious rubbish.
1
@DrGandW The only reason the situation got bad for Ned Kelly was his thieving ways.
1
@tennesseerifleman5250 WRONG. Two of the premiers in Victoria were Irish at this time. The police force was 82% Irish. Britain was NOT running Victoria as you claim. Get your facts right next time sport.
1
ChiggenWingz What is presented here is fiction from top to bottom. This is NOT the true story, but made up rubbish.
1
@スノーハッピー Ned Kelly had no honour at all. He was just a vicious murdering criminal.
1
Squeaky Still waiting for your evidence sport. I'll be waiting for a long time as there is NO evidence that the government was corrupt at all.
1
@neferacronia6798 Still waiting to see your evidence Nefera. You have made statements that are not true.
1
@AstrosaurusRex So do you object to me calling out fictional rubbish that has been made up? The reality was that Ned Kelly was a vicious criminal and in the end got his just deserts.
1
@neferacronia6798 Your pathetic, aren't you, Nefera? Make false allegations, then disappear.
1
@スノーハッピー Ned Kelly and his family members had NO honour. They were liars, cheats, thieves, and murderers.
1
Ned Kelly was NOT wrongfully accused. In fact he DID shoot Constable Fitzpatrick and fired three times at him, the second shot hitting his left wrist.
1
Timothy McLean Ned Kelly was NOT wrongly accused. He was properly accused and put before the courts and a jury of 12 men found him guilty. Get your facts right before shooting off your mouth next time.
1
SadPlane WHY? They were all criminals and were loathed in their own community. You should be feeling bad for their victims, who were numerous.
1
Avarosa Don't you know that she ran a prostitution racket?
1
Agent Washington? REALLY? You believe fiction sport. The police acted with integrity regarding the Kelly's
1
Why?
1
Ryan Still Fitzpatrick told the truth. Ned Kelly confirmed he shot the officer after he was captured.
