For decades the west did not grow their military forces, especially their navies. Australia is building up its navy as quickly as possible, and other western nations are doing the same. I would like to see a NATO like agreement between ALL western nations to curb the aggressive nature of China and Russia. The US alone could probably take on China alone, but we must be there to support them in large numbers. Just have a look at the number of aircraft carriers that are being built around the world. I think there are 12 under construction now, and not all for western countries.
