mik : That was the only penalty available to him and bear in mind that it was a jury of 12 that convicted him and they took just 30 minutes to reach a verdict.

Adversary American It was far wilder than the US west mate believe you me. Especially with the worlds largest gold rush in the 1850' - 70's

@traceyjacobsen8544 Wrong. Kelly was a serious criminal. A murderer, thief, bank robber, hostage taker, stand over bully and liar.
7
The police in that area were not corrupt. Even the Royal Commission looked at that and found that allegation to be without foundation. Where did you get the idea that police were corrupt?
6
frase?????
6
Nick, tell me what little man did he stand up for? In fact he did nothing of the sort. The reality is he robbed from his fellow poor Irish settlers and was despised in his area. Where are you getting this nonsense from?
5
@twistedtwisted3618 My facts are spot on - it is you that is sprouting lies and myths.
3
@tristanbackup2536 Most police were free settlers and 82% were in fact Irish, and they were NOT corrupt as you claim. Where did you get that nonsense from?
3
@tristanbackup2536 There were minor issues with corrupt police. Most were decent fellows and looked after their towns and kept them safe from the likes of Kelly and his gang, who were always thieving from them. The Royal Commission into Victoria Police, said this about Kelly being harassed by police. “ It may also be mentioned that the charge of persecution of the family by the members of the police force has been frequently urged in extenuation of the crimes of the outlaws; but, after careful examination, your Commissioners have arrived at the conclusion that the police, in their dealings with the Kelly’s and their relations, were simply desirous of discharging their duty conscientiously; and that no evidence has been adduced to support the allegation that either the outlaws or their friends were subjected to persecution or unnecessary annoyance at the hands of the police.” Do not always believe what someone tells you. Who ever told you the police were corrupt clearly had a biased attitude.

@aayushpatel2788 Where did you get the idea that the police were corrupt. That comment is just made up nonsense. He was NOT a hero for the poor, in fact he robbed from many poor Irish settlers taking their only horse effectively sending them bankrupt. He killed cops not people? REALLY, so according to you, police are not people. What a crazy comment. Wake up to yourself.
3
Ned Kelly never said those words
2
@hudsonvella4653 Show me the proof. I will guarantee you won't because it is a made up myth. You have been reading nonsense.
2
@twistedtwisted3618 YEAH
2
@basedbattledroid3507 Your comment is a load of BS. No police were 'assassinated' in Victoria, as you claim. Where are you getting this nonsense from?
2
Epic Gamer. Correct English is hanged not hung
2
@Untildusk21 Brilliant deduction there, Sherlock. However, there are reams and reams of historical information available that shows us exactly what happened. The truth does not fit well with the fiction that Ned Kelly fans have written.
2
@xr88yu Except Ned Kelly never uttered those words on the gallows. Just another made up myth about Kelly.
2
@twistedtwisted3618 Your comment is wrong. No laws changed. If you say it did, present your evidence.
2
@twistedtwisted3618 What book. It seems to me that you have been reading mythological nonsense. No laws were changed.
2
@jamestown8398 NOT TRUE. The Royal Commission into Victoria Police found that police acted properly in relation to the Kelly's criminality. You cannot provide a scrap of evidence to support your fictional statement can you? Where do you get this fiction from?
2
@roo1871 Well, as the evidence shows, Constable Fitzpatrick did nothing improper at all. BUT the Kelly fans have made all sorts of fictitious claims that degrade a man that was just doing his job. Disgraceful on their part.
2
Lucas SC400 What is in this video is total fiction.
2
@nearlythere1957 Truth teller.
2
@Charlie Bamford What a load of bunkum. There was no discrimination against the Kelly family. The Royal Commission found that the police acted properly regarding the criminal family that the Kelly's were. Ned Kelly was just a serious criminal through and through.
2
Really? He was nothing of the sort. He was just a vicious criminal. Where are you getting this nonsense from?
2
Twinkey The entire video is wrong. total and complete garbage.
2
He was NOT important. He was just a serious criminal.
2
@all-starmovies4676 So you like watching fiction do you?
2
MechWarrier894 The misfiring certainly happened. However, the myth that Ned Kelly effectively bashed up the police officer is fiction. It did not happen. Just another Kelly lie, that his fans turn into facts. Had Ned Kelly assaulted the police officer as he claimed, he would have been charged with assault. He was not charged with assault, only horse stealing. If you believe what Kelly says, you have been conned big time.
2
@beneagers5773 Ned Kelly always claimed to be Australian.
2
Ben Only to ignorant babboons.
2
@peterpham9061 Murderers do not qualify as icons.
2
@shaundouglas2057 You could not be more wrong, shaun. By the way, Ned Kelly NEVER uttered the words 'Such is Life' on the gallows. You have been conned, again.
2
NO it should be re-titled, Australia's most vicious criminal.
2
kevin the reality is that people in the US are too dumb to know what a pound is
1
Grvvy What is presented in this video is fiction throughout. No facts anywhere.
1
Exu WHY? Its fiction like this one.
1
gummibar There was no corruption in NE Victoria, and no police were demoted. Where are you getting this fiction from?
1
Steampunkerton Harry Power said that he believed it was Ned that snitched on him.
1
Ryan, where is your evidence that the police were corrupt? They were nothing of the sort. Even the Royal Commission found that the police acted properly. Where are you getting this nonsense from?
1
@ryanrotherham4451 The Eureka Stockade had nothing to do with the police at all. It was initiated because the government raised the price of mining licences making it almost impossible for miners to operate. The government demanded that the police enforce the law regarding mining licenses, but it had nothing to do with corruption at all. Your comment is very misplaced Ryan.
1
@ryanrotherham4451 I don't know how old you are Ryan, but your English is dreadful. You have written "we are often harsh and in lawful". That does not make sense at all. How about having another go and this time in English so I can understand what you are trying to convey.
1
@ryanrotherham4451 The allegation that the police were corrupt at the time of Ned Kelly's murdering ways was soundly disproved by the Royal Commission established to enquire into Victoria police. The Eureka stockade was 25 years before the Kelly outbreak. There was corruption at that time, but by the time of Kelly's criminal adventures, most of the police had come from Ireland as free settlers. 82% of the police were Irish. In the entire RC, the word 'corrupt' is not mentioned once. If the police were corrupt as you claim, why wasn't that word used extensively?
1
jenna kilby He is only a hero to the dumb and dumber.
1
CommanderOfTheSun Really. The Royal Commission found that the police acted properly when dealing with the Kelly scourge.
1
Nicky h225 Kelly was nothing of the sort. He kept all of his ill gotten gains. If you think otherwise, present your evidence.
1
@tristanbackup2536 What has their opinions got to do with Ned Kelly myths?
1
@jurassicthickness1340 If you think Kelly was a hero, you have no idea of the true story.
1
@twistedtwisted3618 So where is your evidence that the police picked on the Kelly's?
1
RJ TheCosmonaut Ned Kelly was never heroic. He was just low filth, as the evidence shows.
