  1. I have been to Russia. I did not feel welcome. Government people treated me with disdain. On the other hand, when in Ukraine, I was welcomed by the people and government employees greeted me with a smile. Russia is not far off a Third World country. Ukraine was not much better when it came to infrastructure. I have no desire to go back to Russia, ever.
