  1. It comes down to this. Would I pay $26K more for an XC90 than for an Explorer? No, probably not. But would I pay $5K more for a moderately optioned mid-level (Reserve) trim Lincoln Aviator than for a $60K Explorer? In a heartbeat! Same engine and drive train with a MUCH better interior and a tow rating of 6700 lbs vs the 5600 lb rating of the Explorer. Furthermore, would I pay $12K more for an Explorer than the top trim versions of the Telluride or Palisade? Considering that we're talking about family haulers where 0-60 and quarter mile times rank about 25th of the top 10 priorities, absolutely NOT!
