Considering the evolution of that technology over that time it's hardly surprising that the G70 enjoys the advantage of familiarity and tried and true features. The Tesla, on the other hand, represents the early stages of 21st century technology. The long term future of vehicles running on dinosaur juice is cloudy at best. Considering the improvements in EV technology over a few short years, the Tesla and vehicles like it promise to be around when petrol engines are as antiquated as the original vehicles running on true "horse power." Pay your money and take your choice.
