  1. Recently decided to replace our 2012 Kia Sorento and as a GTI owner gave serious consideration to both the Atlas and the Tiguan. The Atlas was simply too damn large and lacked major features (e.g. factory navigation) on any but the highest trim level (which is virtually unobtainable in the Pacific Northwest.) The Tiguan was a great size and I loved the handling, ride, etc. However, in any but "sport" mode it was a DOG. Why on earth VW didn't give it at least the pep of the Golf (or better yet, the GTI) I cannot understand. Sorry, VW. I would love to have made our a VW only household. But as it is, we replaced the 2012 Sorento with the 2018 model.
