  1. Sorry to introduce the dreaded issue of "practicality," but stay with me. I've lusted after Miatas for years but I have a wife, a teenage daughter, and a big dog. With the MX5 I'd have to go alone or leave two of them at home for any drive. Though the BRZ's back seat is a torture chamber, it's at least possible fit all four of us (daughter and dog in the back) for short jaunts. Giving up the top down option of the MX5 is tough but here in the Pacific Northwest (US version) that's a relatively rare pleasure anyway.
