Don't say this often but I think the new Kona and its stablemate the Soul EV are game changers with the extended range Bolt and Leaf close behind. No disrespect for the Tesla Model 3 but it's not a mainstream vehicle either in price or familiar features. On the other hand extending the range of mainstream priced EV's to circa 250 miles transforms the utility of a vehicle. On the west coast (and elsewhere) where one-way commutes are frequently 40 miles or more an EV with a range of 100-120 miles has to be recharged every day. A range of 250 miles not only eliminates range anxiety, it enables an owner to recharge twice a week or less frequently. It even opens up the possibility of a weekend trip that's off limits for a vehicle with a range of 100 miles, or so. I'm hoping that Tesla remains a viable business and continues its record of innovation but at the turn of the last century it wasn't Mercedes Benz that transformed industrial society though it more or less invented the automobile. It was the Model T.

@FinnishCarGuys Likewise in the US. KIA and Hyundai consistently rank near the top of owner satisfaction and reliability reports from sources such as Consumer Reports and JD Power. Internet trolls making unsubstantiated vague claims or reports of "friends of friends" are par for the course but not worth serious consideration.
