  1. Don't hold your breath. Especially if you live in the US. Mazda has a well earned reputation for overpromising, underdelivering, and missing delivery dates, often by years. (Remember the diesel version of the CX-5. Years late in its introduction it was withdrawn six months after it was finally available.) The CX-5 is not only the best selling vehicle Mazda in the US, it's the only model where sales are not in the toilet. A new model with the inevitable increase in price is a very large risk.
