  1. As a US consumer I subscribe to this channel primarily to see the vehicles we cannot purchase on this side of the pond. Here's another one designed to stoke my jealousy. As far a I know the T-Roc in any guise isn't destined for the US. Not surprising given that VW has been challenged to sell its Euro spec vehicles in the US. As far as the T-Roc R is concerned, it might appeal to crossover crazy Americans in what we call the "sub-compact" category here in the US. But price is a major barrier, especially considering the competition from other sub-compact SUV's like the new Mazda CX-30 with MSRP's that top out at about $30,000 USD (That's about 27,000 Euros at current exchange rates.) With an MSRP of 44,000 Euros in Germany, that puts the T-Roc R at about $48,000 at current exchange rates in the US.
