  1. Joe, you obviously don't live in a part of the country where the spring thaw the mountains brings many tons of rocks and gravels down to the highways below. Here in the Puget Sound region we learn not to follow large trucks too closely as they fire that gravel toward the front of our vehicles. The problem is bad enough in terms of windshield damage. It's much, much worse when one's headlights are mounted just above the front bumper. It's one of the most questionable design decisions for the Palisade and it's just as questionable for the Santa Fe.
