  1. In the comments there appears to be a misunderstanding of what this car is. It's not meant to be a serious offering by Subaru. It's not even a "halo" model in the usual sense of that term. It's a potential collector's vehicle for about 200 purchasers, meant to be driven sparingly and maintained as an investment for the future. Whether it's a safe or very risky investment is another issue, altogether. But its purchase price should not be compared to that of other similarly priced vehicles in terms of power or performance.
