  1. I'm usually not a fan of Hyundai's exterior designs. They often strike me as over-styled with a few too many creases and bulges. (Lookin' at you, Palisade.) In the case of the new Sonata, though, I think Hyundai has gotten it right. Rivals or beats the Mazda6 and that's a strong endorsement. The forthcoming N-Line Sonata with (I'm guessing) a turbo version of the 2.5L four banger is an interesting option. Without AWD, though, it may be challenged to put the power down to the front wheels without shredding the tires. As far as the "solar powered :)" hybrid, that's another interesting choice. Living in the perpetually overcast Pacific Northwest, I'm skeptical that it's more than a marketing gimmick but it may well be more than that. The Sonata won't, of course, displace either the Accord or the Camry in terms of sales but popularity isn't necessarily the gauge of quality.
