  1. I'm sorry to say that I think the 2021 Mazda6 updates are too little too late. Despite its strong points the Mazda6 has never been a strong seller but its sales in 2019 and 2020 are less than dismal. In the first half of 2020 Mazda sold only 8085 Mazda6's, down 38% compared to the first half of 2019. And the total 2019 sales in the US were down 30% compared to 2018. Sales in the midsize sedan category are soft; they have been declining for nearly six years. But no other vehicle has seen the decline suffered by the "6." And what's in store for 2021? Nothing that's likely to boost sales. No word on the rumored inline six cylinder engine. No updated transmission. A new color or two and upgrades to the bells and whistles of the higher trims is VERY unlikely to help.
