Several automakers, including Honda, use the "Sport" trim designation to disguise the fact that it lacks a significant number of features found in higher trims. In reality the $1600 MSRP difference between the "Sport" and the higher priced "EX" version buys a number of significant upgrades, the most critical of which is the more powerful 180 HP turbo engine. Along with that comes a power moonroof, blind spot monitoring, and more extensive driver assistance and safety features. The Sport's "advantages? 18" rather than 17" wheels and paddle shifters, a feature about as useful on a CVT equipped vehicle as they would be on a poodle. The new Civic is an impressive vehicle but the "Sport" trim is hardly the "value" leader. That designation arguably belongs to the EX trim.

@Taylor-cx7cp If you can afford the price premium, I think the EX is a significantly better value.

That's not an accident.

40% isn't a "majority" regardless of the percentage chosen for other models. At best it's a "plurality."
