  1.  @lukeoakes9175  I don't think junior doctors do earn less than they should though - 50k average salary is far more than the majority will ever earn. The government's priorities should be on the poor. We have people in poverty in this country, using food banks, it's a disgrace. The government's effort and money needs to be on fixing that, not already rich doctors trying to get even richer.

  5. The average junior doctor's salary is £50k. They're demanding a pay rise to £68k.

  6.  @grumpy-dad3701  I don't agree that someone making £50k (on average) definitely needs more pay. That's far more than the majority of people will ever earn. Government should focus on getting money to people on food banks, not the already rich. Give a pay rise to the needy, not the greedy.

  9.  @grumpy-dad3701  Debt is fine, so long as GDP covers it, which ours does. It's strange to "support taxing the rich heavily" while also saying doctors should get more money. Doctors ARE the rich.

  12.  @johnyysimmerz  Why should they be the best paid in the country? They are already paid significantly more than the care staff who look after my mother. Some of those staff are on minimum wage, and would love the kind of wages that greedy doctors enjoy.
