This is why I remain an Independent. The pendulum swung far to the Left during the 1960’s. The Hippie Movement was one clear example. Fast forward to the 1980’s. The Ronald Reagan administration. Christian Conservatives gained a lot of power during this time, and were starting to impose their rhetoric on things like putting labels on rock albums. Musician Frank Zappa opposed this, and debated on national television against a bunch of Christians who felt their views were the only correct opinions. On the left, you have Communists. On the right, you have Fascists. Neither are good for the long term health of America. You would do best to understand this. In this current day, the Left controls the media and our culture. In the future, the pendulum will likely swing to the Right.
