@lulzjeffy1337 She gets the perks and the benefits. Why? Because it’s the same system that gives these women a higher standing on Instagram and Twitter. The ugly guy in his 20s and 30s who works in actual tech is fighting to put bread on the table.

@SirBlackReeds I give it a few years maximum. The societal and economic collapse will come soon enough.

@CCovers1 You have to remember that the Greatest Generation (born 1901/1902 to roughly 1925 - 1927) was also molded by the Roaring Twenties (1920s). Crime was rampant. Many innocent people died. Chicago was the place for the Chicago Outfit (that still exists) and the likes of Al Capone. 1929 marked a horrific year for crime and the economy. The stock market crash in October of 1929 would lead into the Great Depression, which engulfed all of the 1930s. Even in entertainment media like Hollywood, you can tell that this generation did their utmost best to fight for the greater good. World War 2, without the contributions of the Greatest Generation, would of turned out completely different. It’s why I think entertainers like Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda and Orson Welles are far superior to the likes of what Hollywood is doing now. The Millennial and Zoomer generation is full of beta males. Just like what went on with the MeToo movement, these young women are having their way while the men are getting chastised. This young 22 year woman has done nothing. And yet she holds more social capital and influence than a majority of men. This entire system is weak, and we’re very much heading towards a complete economic collapse. Perhaps the Zoomers may turn out strong later in life. Right now, I don’t see that happening any time soon.

@lemsip207 I know. I’ve worked jobs in these fields to see these women.

Any sources out there that are good reading material for people wanting to start small businesses?

@julesjmj5682 How long ago was this?

@katherine6326 I considered hospital work. Someone else who commented on this same video is currently a part time security guard at a hospital. Despite working there for a few years now, he was turned down for a full time position because he didn’t have the “credentials” and “experience”. Being a doctor isn’t easy. At this point it’s not worth it for me to spend a number of years past college to get a PhD, only to be mistreated by the administrations. Unfortunately this same attitude has affected the video game industry, a field I worked in for a number of years. Developers, like doctors in your field, are leaving companies like EA (Electronic Arts) and Ubisoft to work in smaller studios, namely indie studios. It’s all messed up. It’s just a circus between the plebs and the royalty.

@CCovers1 I have a background in history.

At least in construction you’re actually working towards something. I’ve done tech jobs where you are basically cattle. Upper management also felt our benefits had to be taken away. Meanwhile the corporate people who were above us lowly grunts and the management were getting bonuses, hefty paycheck and numerous work breaks for doing essentially nothing.

Pretty much explains why companies like Ubisoft are going down the tubes. I’ve been playing video games for over 30 years. I watched E3 2021 last year. The Ubisoft showing had a statement regarding diversity hires. These young people were paid to promote diversity. It’s why I’ve given up the tech field entirely, and the business of making video games has suffered big time over the past decade or so.

@CasshernSinz1613 A lot of the talent left Ubisoft. Some of them have gone on to be indie developers. Ubisoft is a multi billion dollar corporation that is across multiple countries. Based on what I heard, there is large amounts of miscommunication coming from the top down to the managers and the tech workers. It's why I mostly play indie stuff and retro games these days because the AAA companies just nickel and dime us gamers constantly. It just isn't worth it anymore.

@GabeSweetMan Was this in Los Angeles?
1
@GabeSweetMan I know that area. Disney corporate is doing what everybody else is doing. Taking in diversity hires. The domestic talent is being forced to capitulate or go somewhere else. Explains why so many Hollywood superhero films (Marvel and Star Wars are especially guilty of this) these past few years have done gender swapping. Putting an African American in a role that historically was always Caucasian. Have the female superhero be all dominant and all powerful with no flaws in comparison to the male superheros. Disgusts me to no end.

@Kitkat-986 She hasn’t.

What’s your job position at this hospital?

It’s all over the West my dude. Seeing this spoiled 22 year old kid whine and moan literally boiled my blood.

Those days are long gone. People like this stupid 22 year old woman have no clue what real work is like. America’s glory days are over.

I remember around a decade ago I was told I was required to have a Facebook account because “reasons”, before LinkedIn really started becoming a thing. It was the same nonsense. Need to be connected with my coworkers, blah blah blah. HR is a complete joke.
1
@Sakhmeov Very sorry to hear this. It’s a good reason why I’ve given up the tech field.
1
@Sakhmeov Nobody has to be unique. But we need a system that can better respect the working class. We haven't had a system that has done that in decades at this point. This young 22 year old woman doesn't know anything. Completely out of touch with reality, and it's obvious when you watch her stupid videos.

Society is collapsing, that’s what’s happening.
1
@azarah69 We should of done that decades ago. Now they think us men are inferior and we need to be stamped out.

What video was this?

I worked many years for corporations. Unless you have certain connections and specific credentials (a Bachelors Degree in Business doesn’t cut it), you are basically expendable and any wrongdoing you do is liable to get you fired. Most corporations until you reach the General Manager level are a revolving door. I worked Dollar Tree for over five years and by the time I was let go I was one of three or four employees that lasted that long. Everybody else quit or was fired. Those at the corporate level for these companies get all the hefty paychecks, all the bonuses, all the benefits, all the opportunities. You receive certain perks that are not allowed to people under the corporate level. You won’t get replaced as quickly. It’s a system designed to benefit the rich and the elite and only them. Everybody else is forced to live paycheck to paycheck, work two jobs and hustle to fulfill basic necessities.

I never valued marketing employees once in my entire life.

I can imagine the tech industry in the 1970s was a completely different world from the one we have now.

Those young people you’re describing go perfectly with the attitude that this young 22 year old women expressed in her videos.

@colinjames7569 Yep. HR women at this job I worked at just sat at an office all day. I’m putting myself at risk by running a forklift, lifting 50 - 60 pound boxes every now and then for 10 - 12 hours a day. Worked there a few years. 50 - 60 hour work weeks were common. I became a ‘senior member’ after just three years or so because the workplace was a revolving door. I was let go due to being paid higher than my colleagues and I was let go because I was tardy by two minutes clocking into their system. This was an all physical job. The upper management just handled paperwork and got paid a lot more, for essentially doing nothing.
