Meanwhile I went to San Francisco not too long ago and was absolutely horrified by the amount of homeless people and how there is really nothing being done to make the city better. Much of America and particularly California has lost its identity. Small pockets like the Amish community in Northern Indiana seem to be one of the few pockets left that offer a real sense of community. Some of my friends that I keep in contact with have already moved to Mexico, Costa Rica and Europe. They saw no hope in modern America getting any better, and they wanted a better life.

@markzuckergecko621 Leftist people had a point back in the 1990s. Here in America a lot of young people were against Neo-Conservatism. Ronald Reagan helped bring out the radicals back in the 1980s and then during the Clinton Administration there was a big push by the Democrats. Nowadays a classic Liberal like me has no place in Leftist circles. They don’t believe in Democracy and would much rather undermine it. The sheer lunacy of the Far Left absolutely deserves to be criticized.

@umiluv You sound like a Millennial who like me, was raised in the 1980s and 1990s in a time when the economy was good. In my late 30s now and I realized long ago I’ll never have the benefits my Baby Boomer parents had. Some friends I’ve known since high school are just now beginning to secure their homes. The 2008 financial crisis set them back, all while they were swamped by college debt. We have to make the best of what we have and hope things turn around. I left California primarily because it was too expensive and I was sick of the extreme politics that has largely manifested there.
