@damionkeeling3103 His generation was considered the 'Lost' generation. They served in World War 1. Had a big part in the Roaring Twenties. Experienced the crash of 1929 and the Great Depression that followed in their middle ages. But they were tough. Their 'Greatest' generation children (born 1901 to 1927) took many of their values and ideals from them. Nobody in Tolkien's generation would regard the social changes in the UK today as a good thing. They represented a part of the old British Empire, which is completely non-existant at this point.

@insertoyouroemail Another reason to stick with old 80s - 2000s movies and shows. Seems to me when Millennial feminists became of age 5 - 8 years ago or so, that’s when all facets of our favorite entertainment started turning woke.

@julius43461 It’s good that you haven’t. I don’t bother with Hollywood anymore. I just watch films that come from Japan and Northern Europe.
