@kerrell95 You look fairly young, but in retrospect I considered working in construction back in 2012. It just seemed like a good profession to get into, with on the job training, young people in your age group to bond with, and good benefits. Once I found out about HR and the corporates, I bowed out.

@syddog44 I’ve been saying this for years.

@pistonburner6448 This explains why small businesses are suffering across the board in the West while big corporations continue to suck things dry and profit even more.

@pistonburner6448 This was likely back in the mid 20th Century. For a few decades now, corporations take control of the finances and direction in a construction project. The small business people and honest workers respectively, always lose out.

@thetechnocrat4979 All of the greats are long gone. We in America read a lot of Thomas the Tank Engine, but we didn’t know who created it.

@DrJams Which will probably get demolished. Because the current establishment hates the White British working class and their traditional way of life.

@Mickyway Now we get everything imported from C that’s in Asia.

@simmo1024 I mean it’s obvious. You sure are not going to have some tiny 160 cm tall woman that weighs 55 kgs to do what is supposed to be a man’s job. This entire system needs to go. Starting from the top down.

@simmo1024 This is NOT what I had in mind. ANY physical job, it’s not just the construction field.

@douglassayers9109 1988 was a long time ago. A lot of industries have fallen to bureaucrats, basically the same people every single time. Really I just think periods like the late 1980’s to late 1990’s were a Golden Era that will never come back. For over 20 years now we’ve seen jobs remain stagnant and not actually train people to be productive. Instead they grab a bunch of diversity hires, a bunch of stuck up HR women, and a management team that is utterly clueless. Benefits have been slashed to hell and back too. I actually considered working in construction around 15 years ago, but the HR women I saw as well as the managers were enough to make me quit. Now it’s probably no better than working retail at Walmart and having the same useless HR and management run you into the ground.
