Meanwhile the Soviet Union collapsed in December of 1991. That fact alone should tell you time is ticking for western society.

America went soft.

George Carlin is the greatest stand up comedian in my book. He was part of the Silent Generation, so he could easily crap on the Boomers. With most of his generation gone and the previous generation practically non-existent, Boomers have gone from “Don’t trust anyone over 30” to being literal authoritarians.

Because they did. Communist China in the 1950s - 1970s was a terrible place.

@indyrock8148 Maybe. They’re all old now, so it’s too late to do anything.

@indyrock8148 You know that Batman quote. “You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”.

@indyrock8148 I’m pretty sure every other person on social media these days is leading a miserable life. Personally, I liked it better when the internet was more niche. Boomers used it to check their e-mail for a few minutes. Gen Xers and Millennials used the internet to get music via Napster and create websites.

The Boomers suck. At this point in time, anyone over 65 or 70 who is a Boomer and is still working for the government needs to retire for good. Our institutions, including our universities and medical facilities, are still run by Boomers. The decay is apparent, considering most have all hit senior age.

This is why they’re dangerous.

@dudeistpreist5721 The 1950’s to arguably mid 1960’s was a great time to start a family.

Feels good when you and your peers were able to live an actual decent life and society back in the 1970s - 1990s.

They’re getting senile now in their old age as they hit 70 - 75 years. I’m practically fed up with them.

@hebber1961 TV hasn’t been good in decades. You’re probably thinking of the 1960’s - 1980’s/1990’s when TV could be dependent on for truth and actually delivering news. The 2000’s marked by 9/11 brought hysteria everywhere. Now every media outlet just wants to push their agenda and doesn’t care if the news is real or fake.
1
@fringeminority3224 That ship sailed decades ago. TV started their narratives in the 1990’s, possibly earlier but that was when they were really starting to surface. Then September 11th, 2001 happened and all the big media outlets gradually crawled in their safe spaces and made agendas. Fox News and NewsMax are right wing dominated by old people, CNN and MSNBC are left wing dominated by a lot of old people, plus some Millennials who fell for the socialist crap. The media today is disgusting, rotten and has no regards to the average person.

The two guys talking are much younger than you. I would consider Carl a Gen Xer but even he was probably a bit too young to remember those soaps from the early 90s.

Ronald Reagan did a lot of damage, there’s no disputing that. Meanwhile over in your lands, Thatcher was doing things that not too people were happy with either. What the Greatest Generation did over 70 years ago is utterly irrelevant at this point. What they did in the late 1960s - 1980s when many of them were still in power, was prove they were politically inept.
1
@serpentines6356 So you’re essentially saying that Justin Trudeau, Gavin Newsom, Joe Biden and the rest of their ilk, were no more incompetent than the people in power 40 - 50 years ago? I think you fail to realize the situation the Millennial and Zoomer generations will be facing in the near future.

Boomers tuned in CNN and Fox News long before we did. They had cable television and they were the ones who voted Ronald Reagan in. Boomers are stubborn, largely due to the fact they’re all in their 60s - 70s, except for a small portion approaching 60. It’s already too late to convince most of them to do anything meaningful and to change their perspective.

@bewilderedbrit8928 He didn’t say whether or not they’re married.
