  1. Well for one, the 30-55 demographic was either too young or simply wasn’t around when Poland was under Soviet control. That’s largely the old people, those like Peter Hitchens who did see the Soviet Union. Many young people today praise socialism. That’s not a coincidence, that’s simply what they’ve been taught in schools.

  2. Because 34 years ago the Berlin Wall fell and you guys were firmly in control by the Soviets for decades, following Germany’s invasion that ignited WW2.

  4. Very sad indeed. Your great-grandfather was witness to a lot of key events in 20th century history. The unfortunate truth is most of these people ushering the communists in (and advocating for socialism) are young 20 and 30 something year olds who have no recollection of communism. The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, which was before their time.
