For a guy who’s 49 years old, he looks pretty dam good.

@johncorrall1739 One of my British friends has an elderly father who’s in his 90’s. He’s too old to really make a trek elsewhere. Very sad because the England this man knew is long gone.
5
At least it’s still better than London.
5
@arlisongbird9386 Japan is more about love than Paris, and Japan was for ages an isolationist society.
5
For once I’m glad I live in the midwestern United States.

West as in America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Western Europe. Despite financial troubles, countries like Greece seem more desirable these days. Romania has completely turned itself around over the past few decades, and now its populace resembles more of what UK used to be back in the 1950s - 1990s.
4
@ABC-po6be I visited Vancouver BC last summer. Complete dystopia. The areas outside of the tourist parts were very bleak. Drug usage and shoplifting are rampant.
4
Everything you said, America has been dealing with since the 1960’s. Thomas Sowell has been proven right time and time again. America wouldn’t have received Tupac Shakur and gangster rap if black families were more intact.
4
Same here in America. Our products are effectively junk.
4
Your British grandparents fought through thick and thin to keep their patriotism, integrity, heritage and culture. Their entire generation fought for these values. Same here in America and other countries of the West. Now look at us.
3
When it turned into a state controlled nation in 1959, tourists stopped going there. Communism destroys everything it touches.
3
Democrats….

So when ArronMurray, do you think the decline really started? I would argue the 1960s and 1970s.
2
@ArronMurray I’m American, and your statement coincides with the 1965 Immigration Act. Look that up if you don’t know it.
2
@andyandreson3989 Not Eastern Asia. We are of course not including the big C.
2
@Alainmontpellier1000 This isn't the 1950s and 1960s anymore. Times have changed. Your grandparents died of old age. Their way of life and culture are no more. The more I listen to people like you, the more I think you guys would be content with using a time travel machine than actually face the mounting issues western society is facing today. Same gendered marriages were planned decades ago. Some communities already partaken in that even though it wasn't legal back then. Your ideal of a more old fashioned culture and it's traditions is quickly slipping.
2
Certainly worse than the experience you guys had in the 1950s and 1960s.
2
Learn about the past without being stuck in the past. I have confidence in young people like Callum here in this podcast. But it’s going to take serious effort, and the old folks are too worn out to continue the fight. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy.
2
MySpace founder in your avatar.
2
@TheDocLamkin Tom did the right thing. Zuckerberg in contrast let money and power get to him. Which is why I will never respect him.
2
Reminds me of Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
2
This started decades ago. I imagine old Englishmen that grew up in 1940s - 1960s UK are probably depressed with where the nation has gone.
2
That’s easy for us to say. Not so easy to convince our federal government.
2
What’s the general area?
2
Don’t let the wrong people get wind of this. They will destroy everything that has real beauty attached to it.
2
You guys went from the British Invasion of the 1960’s to this mess you have today in 2024.
2
Can’t go wrong with Sherlock Holmes.
2
@thepenultimateninja5797 I grew up and lived in California. I don’t expect things to be the same and resemble what they were in the 80’s and 90’s. But the politicians there are definitely ruining the state. Now, I’ve been to Idaho, Montana, South Dakota and so forth. The rural areas there, while a little desolate, generally have nice people who just want to be left alone. California in contrast just isn’t a great place to live anymore.
2
@reecesx This guy would probably fall under the Silent Generation. Not as good as the Greatest Generation that preceded them, but not as bad as the Boomers.
2
I’m sorry but what Stoke are you referring to? I’m American.
2
I saw the writing on the wall 20 years ago. Barack just accelerated the decline, and his former VP now turned president is too senile to care about freedom in America.
1
I agree with everything you said.
1
I imagine it was better then.
1
His generation had integrity, commitment, passion and courage.
1
Truer words have never been spoken.
1
Canada has that program in the hospitals which ensures peoples fate if they don’t have the money to pay their bills.
1
Rural America is pretty trashy in a lot of places too. It’s not just the big cities anymore.
1
I would like to hear from you how Margaret sold out her people.
1
In 2006.
1
Because it is.
1
I take it you’re American?
1
It collapsed in 1991. Sadly the West is repeating history.
1
@anonyoutuber1234 That’s because Eastern Europe was under control by the “other side” prior to a certain nation’s collapse in 1991. Sorry, can’t speak the actual names because my comments get removed by the YT algorithm. Today, the UK regularly hates on a certain leader of the UK during the 1940’s.
1
@dorugoramon0518 Any video or article that proves your point?
1
@NemeczeK101 Because it’s dystopian, right?
1
@NemeczeK101 Right wing nut detected.
1
@NemeczeK101 Try me
1
@NemeczeK101 Random person gives me a lecture. What else can you offer me?
1
America isn’t much better. Texas and the Midwest are only good because there is a sizable number of Republicans/Conservatives living in those areas. The entire West Coast here in America is just as bad as the UK itself.
1
@jishani1 Most Republicans here are too incompetent. Switching from one extreme to another ain’t the solution fellas.
1
What is it?
1
Fallout 2 is awesome. The Enclave are the police state dystopian force of what could happen. NCR were the good guys. The Enclave, as well as Frank Horrigan and the President, are the definition of evil.
1
Or suffer what Castro did to Cuba. Bar people from leaving.
1
All run by Democrats. Red controlled states and cities actually look better these days.
1
The UK decided to follow America’s example of multiculturalism. We began exporting our industries back 30 - 50 years ago, starting with blue collar jobs in the manufacturing business. Old American products from the 1950 s - 1980s were higher quality. Today we get our products from mega corps that are multinational. They break easily on purpose, which means they are no longer built to last.
1
@swanglesnax Portland is awful now. Can’t go there anymore without seeing hoards of drug addicts and homeless.
1
@thepenultimateninja5797 I want to believe you but I can honestly say some of your statement is a bit wrong. I moved out of California but before I left, many rural areas were in pretty bad shape. Infrastructure was decaying. It’s difficult to start up any small business in California anymore due to the one party (Democrats) ruining everything. Also doesn’t help its education system is rock bottom, one of the worst in the entire country. The cities were horrible, but the rural areas weren’t much better in the state. Everything bad starts in California.
1
@Angl0sax0nknight At this point I honestly think Vegas was actually more livable when the Mafia ran it. Gambling was more doable (because the Mob was laundering money at the casinos). Corporations didn’t come in quite yet.
1
@a2a324 Sometimes you have to pick the lesser of two evils.
1
@dorugoramon0518 Better for you to move to East Asia. Its culture is deep and they actually care about heritage, unlike America and Western Europe.
