  1. I was never a real fan of Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Mary Tyler Moore, Ruth Buzzi, Joan Rivers or any of those early female comediennes during the early days of television. But I can appreciate all the hard work they did in their careers. Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers were to me two of the great female comediennes in the business. No female comic today can lay a finger on them. It’s like comparing one of countless mediocre male stand up comics to George Carlin. Carol and Joan were clever and had good writing to back up their talents. Today female comics have to be dirty, make pathetic attempts at jokes and try to please the woke PC crowd.
