Even Gollum, a character who is detestable and greedy to the core, was brilliantly done and behind the scenes showed computer tech done by talented crewman. Nothing about the films nor the footage with Peter Jackson was detestable in any way. The woke media, like they’ve done with JK Rowling, Harry Potter, Marvel, DC, will ruin everything they touch. None of the LOTR trilogy could be made today.

  3. Just watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles with Steve Martin and John Candy. Released in 1987. Still a great film all these years later. I cried knowing that society you saw in the film no longer exists.

  7. Hope and Change were just word salads. But I think comparing now to 50 years ago is moot because most of us Lotus Eaters supporters weren't even born yet. Reagan put Christianity, enjoyable Hollywood movies and a more fun lifestyle back into the spotlight. Bush Sr was a shadow after the Reagan years. Clinton takes over and suddenly the incarceration rate for blacks spikes. The pendulum swings left, with feminists gaining the upper hand in both media and in the workplace. You already described the three men who took over after Bill, so I don't need to repeat what you said.

  8. Sargon had a great guest on here named Peter who said the values of western civilization have been eroding since the 1970's. 50 years give or take. Reagan brought joy and laughter back. It's evident in the 80s movies you watched. Michael Jackson? Untouchable, there's not a single person today who can remotely match up with him. Today, we are wallowing in despair and misery.

  10.  @davegibbs6423  Blair was a failure. He was to your country what Clinton was for us. Introduced many problems that we’re still facing today. Thatcher, likewise, had a similar vibe to Reagan. You probably still remember them meeting each other. Democrats hated Nancy Reagan. Sleepy Joe gave reliance on a country far away from us much more than our own citizens. And the border situation? Nonexistent in this current administration. That is largely why the Democrats just lost the elections last month. All of the screaming parrots flooding social media, threatening to move overseas if the wrong person gets elected. I say good riddance.

  19. I don't think these guys are trying to entirely dwell in nostalgia. They still have to commute and go out in the real world to do some things, even if everything they buy is online. I'm not as much knowledgeable on Thatcher as I am on Reagan, but from what I've gathered from older people, illegals were mostly people either seeking refuge, or trying to earn more money. The current agenda is sending aliens all across the UK and US, including countrysides that were peaceful only to have them ruined by these invaders. That is not remotely the same thing as some mother and child who escaped tyranny to seek shelter in a first world country, even if they got in illegally. All of this is deliberate. Everything from new apartments having horrible depressing colors to the system denying young white men amble opportunities to begin families has been propped up by the global elite.

  20. We watched The Simpsons growing up. Now our media considers Apu offensive to Indians, even though we had no problem making fun of him for years. I hate the era we live in.
