  1.  @BunnaySango We didn’t think about this back in the 90’s. We were allowed to be kids playing in treehouses and doing sleepovers. These are things todays generation of children will never experience until we stop giving them unfiltered internet access.

  2. You look like you’ve turned into a reasonable chap. The 60’s and 70’s was the Hippie Revolution which tore into families. But I’d take those times any day over the chaos going on now.

  4. I see this far too often now. Every restaurant I go to in my area has everyone staring at their phones. There is little to no verbal communication, and when there is verbal communication, there’s never any excitement or passion in peoples voices. The internet is hurting our children.

  5.  @Ziko577 I wouldn’t say TV is that good either. Of course it’s largely an outdated medium, with modern TV basically being a bunch of steaming devices either on your computer or smartphone. Lots of books talked about the dangers of TV decades ago. Those authors of old however couldn’t anticipate the rise of social media and instantaneous internet access, which are both far worse for the children.

  8. I’m fed up with hearing Baby Boomers being thrown under the bus all the time now, but at least here in the United States, a number of them still control our corporations. They hold high seats in education as well as our government. For us Millennials, we are hopelessly screwed unless we come up with a viable alternative or a new system that helps ensure our futures will better. Zoomers have practically nothing. No role models, no career progression, no money to pay for any home or residence. It’s insane. We need good figures, especially strong male figures who can guide young people and encourage them to pursue their careers and dreams. But we are not doing that. Our entire system is rotten, and the elites just don’t care.

  11. Good on China and Russia for crumbling. But that’s not helping the woes of the West. As I approach 40 years old, I’m getting just a mere fraction of what my parents got back in the 1980’s and 1990’s. That’s not jealously or envy, it’s just our system is collapsing. We’re getting homes and becoming fathers far later in life than past generations. If you’re already single and you’re struggling, then I suggest simply not having kids. There’s enough suffering out here already. I’ve worked multiple jobs, never lied or stole only to be given the slip. Then I work another job just to be given the same treatment. Working two jobs simply isn’t enough. Something has to give sooner or later. I don’t know what that is, but I know it’s not going to be pretty.
