  2. Modern art is more political than it is about art. Modern literature is the same thing. Both are made by people who have no real understanding of actual art or literature, so they bend the rules. Then you end up with embarrassments like the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

  3. It’s a miracle that people like yourself have to look at Harry Potter books from over 20 years ago in a political, social lens. JK Rowling can do what she wants, I don’t care. What I do care about is Harry Potter is going to be yet another franchise next on the chopping block. Just like what Amazon did to Lord of the Rings, and how they angered generations of devoted fans.

  5. Both at the mainstream level and down to the local level. I’ve had to separate myself from people I used to enjoy conversing with. I’ve purposely been burying my head into the sand on occasion so I don’t delve into the madness that plagues todays world.

  6.  @gwenj5419  It’s the same with some of my family. We used to be disagreeing with politics, but it was a agree to disagree approach. Now we can’t discuss COVID-19, LGBTQ, indiscrimination, academics, job careers, etc etc without getting into a big argument. Times have changed, and not necessarily for the better.

  7. These people may have mental health problems from how they were raised in their dysfunctional families. The problem is there is no real funding for mental health care. These people either get the wrong prescriptions from their doctors, or they just get thrown in jail by the police, which doesn’t solve anything.

  11.  @zxyatiywariii8  The foods us kids ate back in the 1980s and 1990s was already genetically modified, processed garbage. Yet we were convinced and fully bought into the Trix, Lucky Charm, Fruit Loops, and Frosted Flake commercials on TV. My generation has a high amount of diabetes and studies have shown that it is an epidemic. You can blame those 80s and 90s commercials aimed at kids decades ago that stated that junk food that contained nothing natural was somehow good.

I don't consider myself a fanboy or a massive fan of the franchise, but I can acknowledge how it has impacted a generation of kids. Myself included. Unfortunately we live in an era where fandoms have really gone off the deep end. I absolutely detest Marvel fanboys and the utter nonsense that surrounds MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) is nothing short of tragic. If you said anything like you said regarding Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings 20 years ago, people would of laughed at you. But now we're taking this stuff seriously because anything that goes mainstream is bound to be affected by SJWs and corporate influences. They care for nothing more than to change these respective franchises so that they can offer political propaganda. Take a look at what Amazon has done to Lord of the Rings. A trillion dollar company who is helping make the average person's life worse. Pretty soon everything we loved and held dear is going to be inverted to help spread the "message".

  19. This is a bad trend regardless. You’re leaving everything to the rich and powerful while the average person has to scrap by with whatever is left on the table. I see this in all my friends and family now. It’s not pretty. It’s downright evil what is going on.
