  3. Same. I remember when Jenna Marbles and iJustine both had a certain style that would stand out. Now creators are the same because they are either bots or they are chasing trends that guarantee them views.

  4. It’s the same with Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and even X. A decade ago I could find small creators with a simple search. Actual artwork, graphic design and so on. Nowadays I can’t find anything good on DeviantArt because AI has run amok. It’s the same with other platforms.

  5. Same. I have to basically look up old videos from several years ago or find an obscure channel that wasn’t made by a faceless bot. It’s getting difficult for me to find small, legit creators.

  6.  @Novastar.SaberCombat  I was here back then too. Didn’t have an account in 2006 because you could navigate the website just fine without one. Created this account in March 2007. I find myself watching old videos from 2008 to 2013 than I do watching new stuff.

  7.  @MRblazedBEANS  Most subs you will see on my channel are people with less than 100,000 subscribers. That is a drop in the bucket compared to what Mr Beast and PewDiePie have. All of the mainstream stuff here stopped being good long ago. I’m one of the few people from the old era of YouTube who remembers when iJustine and The Irate Gamer (Chris Bores) would get big just for posting a video that went viral. All YT does anymore is post media and corporate fueled trash, forcing me to look elsewhere for good creators. I cannot find many small, independent creators anymore.

  8. Same. I watch video game content and most of the new stuff is either AI generated slop or some boring guy who can’t say anything edgy. I find myself watching old Let’s Plays from 2009 - 2013. It stuns me how much more personality went into those old videos. Everything now is boring, lacks creativity, and is meant to demoralize you in some form.
