  1. I knew it when Adobe and Microsoft products got progressively worse. 20 years ago Adobe Photoshop was great. It was functional and nothing screamed Big Brother. Now it’s bloated, online integrated, and I’m forced to pay monthly fees for Adobe’s products if I want to use them. It’s the same with Microsoft.

  2. Gaming was better when it was niche. I have no interest whatsoever in the new Marvels Spider-Man 2 game. If it’s not certain Japanese devs like From Software or some decent indie titles, I don’t bother with modern gaming.

  3.  @LouisGiliberto  I was good with Windows 7. I hate Windows 10 and I hate Windows 11 even more. Considering moving to Linux. First I have to do a bit of research and test out what works best for me.

  7.  @SknCommonLisper  Ultima Underworld 1 was awesome, done by Warren Specter who later did Deus Ex which I'm sure we've all heard of at this point. Ultima Underworld 2 was also good, as that follows the characters and settings more in regards to the original Ultima series. UW1 and UW2 are old DOS games, so they aren't for everybody. You might want to try out Betrayal at Krondor, Wing Commander 1 & 2, and Dune 2: The Building of a Dynasty.

  8.  @SknCommonLisper  Well they’re all old. Dune 2 set the blueprint for RTS games. Doom I’ve played on countless mods, with Brutal Doom being my personal favorite. There’s very few if any old DOS games that aren’t going to give a sense of nostalgia. Asmongold wouldn’t know because he was simply born too late. It’s one of the benefits of being born in the first few years in the 80’s, and having a dad who worked a computer tech job in the 90’s, who was into those old games.

  9. Old Hollywood wasn’t without its flaws, but it cared about the product itself. That is why actors like Humphrey Bogart and directors like Alfred Hitchcock and screenwriters like Rod Serling are still talked about decades later. What has modern Hollywood produced over the last decade? You have to go back to 2010 - 2013 to find the last batch of good stuff, before MCU became profitable and Disney became too big to fail.

  10. A big problem is the industry is now dominated by leftist feminist women who 20 years ago wouldn't of even considered taking a job working in gaming. Gaming was predominately a male space and once the big corporations and women got involved, it's been nothing but downhill.
