There’s a few reasons for this, and one of them is the encroachment of the internet in the average persons life. I remember back in the mid 1990s in Junior High and eventually High School, kids would regularly talk and interact not only with themselves but also with teachers. We are witnessing first hand what happens when you give a little kid a smartphone. These kids going to college today were probably handed a phone 15 years ago. Now they’re completely inept when it comes to any interpersonal communication and it’s a stark contrast to those kids I remember 30 years ago.

@FRANK45CASTLE My 41 year old sister used to play outside with me back in the 90s. It didn’t matter how little we knew in regards to trivia and knowing the real world, we just cared about having fun. That atmosphere is completely gone now. Like you said with your blizzards in New Hampshire, you didn’t know the answers for everything, you bonded with your friends which developed interpersonal communication. Today in 2022, we are literally living in a dystopia.

@marysisak2359 The Hippies of the late 1960s, early 1970s weren't without their faults. You guys also brought in the first 'true' wave of feminism that people still practice 50 years later. Only now, this is the second - third wave of feminism. The young people of the first wave of feminism back in the 1970s are now the grandparents teaching these 20 something year olds that hyper feminism is a good thing.

@FRANK45CASTLE You don’t want to know how many times I’ve argued with people on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

@FRANK45CASTLE You can add Reddit to this list too. Nothing but an echo chamber of 30 year old ‘neck beards’ living in their parents basements.

@MrBigGun100 Actually it was the Baby Boomers that brought about the internet. The tech pioneers of the time made an internet world possible. Millennials and young Gen Xers were the first to be exposed to it in their youth. Nowadays the Millennials are showing the Zoomers the ropes.
