@GenerationX1984 Reagan also got rid of mental homes, and raised taxes numerous times. NAFTA, the agreement that convinced many corporations to ship work labor overseas for cheap, got its start in the Reagan era. The Yuppie Boomers of that time did irreparable damage to the US economy. Yet here we are as Millennials just trying to scrape by, hoping that at some point we can leave behind a legacy.

@GenerationX1984 We can’t even afford garbage campers. I see Boomers in their late 60s and 70s driving on the freeway with new campers. Most Millennials who love the outdoors would do much to get one of those.

@TomikaKelly Most people are lucky to settle for jobs that enable them to get off Friday and start work Monday. The 40 hour work week doesn’t exactly cut it anymore. We are beginning to regress back to those horrible work weeks that our grandparents were forced to put up with all those decades ago. It is good that you are making six figures, but know that a lot of people aren’t getting anywhere near this amount. From what I hear you really had to work hard to earn that much, because frankly anyone making that much has to put in the time and effort. I gave up computing. I do some software stuff on the side, but that’s not my actual job. Did video games for a while and gave that up as well. Getting into a trade and getting the proper training is probably the best path for young men today.

@franskoster9572 The 2000 US Presidential Elections right? The state of Florida caused an entire ruckus that determined the outcome of the voting.

@angelnumber0723 Most of us have moved on. But those events are still strong in our memory books because we were teens and kids in middle school when this happened.

@imperfectxennial3008 Ronald Reagan was born in 1911, long before the Silent Generation came of age.

@mastersnet18 I’m guessing the 1950’s - 1960’s were the other two best decades economically.

A lot of Gen Xers got the same treatment us Millennials did. You’re talking specifically of early Generation X, the ones born in the mid 1960’s. Boomers left us up a creek without a paddle.
