Millennials have this issue as well.

@amazingtoad7244 Generation Z basically copies what Millennials started. High depression, high anxiety, low self esteem and little hope for the future. As someone in my 30s I have experienced depression, it runs in my family so it's nothing new. You kids were practically born into an era of high hysteria, which in fact started long before COVID-19 happened and before Trump was even president. I still remember the 9/11 attacks, George W Bush sending our young American troops into Iraq and Saddam Hussein getting captured and later executed. Most of you kids were only just starting preschool and kindergarten, so obviously you didn't see these problems until much later.

The Boomers don't. Millennials on the other hand know a great deal on Gen Z.

@imaleavethisaccount2046 Probably too young to be on YouTube.

@jc.1191 Grunge was what I was raised on. My sister well in her 40s exposed me to the genre back in the 1990s. I was also raised in Washington State, where Grunge was formed. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana), Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam all came out of Washington. I still have some CD albums from these bands that are nearly 30 years old. While I was born in the mid 1980s (1986), Grunge left an lasting impact on me as a youngster.

Generation X brought the rise of the internet, Baby Boomers basically gave birth to the internet. Millennials basically took advantage when the internet was still in a stage of innovation, as MySpace and Facebook would show you. Generation Z is witnessing the decline of the internet, and those after them will witness the true death of it.

@metalvideos1961 My first phone with a Cingular flip phone in 2002. Had it during my Junior and Senior year in high school. Big difference between that and the smartphones of today.
2
@Reee Flex There's a stark difference between people born in 1980 - 1983 and those born in 1991 - 1994. However based on your comment you sound like you are Generation X, the MTV generation.

@justateapot3847 This completely applies to Millennials. I believe the BLM movement is a direct result of Millennials getting their way. Generation Z is just taking what Millennials helped start, using arguments that appeal to emotion instead of using truths and critical thinking skills in a neutral format. Lebron James is a great example of a Millennial who is self entitled, overly narcissistic, and overly emotional. Just look at his Twitter. Guys like Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan would NEVER have displayed such filth and embarrassment, even if they had social media and Facebook back in their day. Generation Z just looks up to these athletes and stars of the Millennials and follows suit. Which is why they're so entitled and full of themselves.

Millennials NEVER really had a stable job per se.

You were just a little kid.

@adamsteger8650 Spoken like a true Gen Y/Millennial. High five to you man. We were lucky.

@briantroy7376 As someone in your generation everything you said is true.

@Synes7hesia You are at the younger end of the Millennial generation. Facebook did not become popular until around 2007 - 2009, before that MySpace was still the #1 social media website. That would make you around 14 - 16 years old at the time. To be truthful here, holding two - three jobs is basically true for many Millennials and the older Gen Zers who can work. I've been down that road, and because of bill issues I had to move back in with a part of my family because I couldn't afford to pay on my own. If you want the real culprits to target, don't target people like Brian. Target the Baby Boomers and the financial people in a seat of power. Namely the Koch Brothers.

Because they were NOT 1990s kids. You can't associate shows like Family Matters, Home Improvement and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to those kids because they had already gone off the air and ended by the time they were born. The REAL 1990s kids were kids born in the 1980s. I'm a true 90s kid, as I'm well over the age of 30. I remember Goosebumps books being popular; Windows 95/98; Slap It Wrists; Pogs; Bill Nye the Science Guy; the Super Mario/Sonic the Hedgehog rivalry during the Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo era; Nickelodeon with Kenan & Kel, Rocko's Modern Life, Doug, Rugrats and the debut of Spongebob Squarepants; Barney & Friends; and Michael Jordan playing for the Chicago Bulls in his prime. Generation Z doesn't know ANY of this. They didn't even exist.

No creativity at all hardly. Generation X and early Millennials had far more creativity.

Elleon DeMuskeres The trans agenda has been around a long time. People just didn't know about it until it became more mainstream and acceptable. Look up Christine Jorgensen, she was prominent in mid 20th century America. Long before millennials decided they should throw forced trans acceptance on people instead of appreciating them as human beings.

Boston 508617 Neither do Millennials in many cases. The Baby Boomers were the last generation to truly be patient.

You guys are better disciplined to handle smartphones without going overboard. Generation Z on the other hand, and a lot of younger Millennials take it all for granted. I had a Cingular Flip Phone in the early 2000s, and a couple years later MySpace was all the rage. Generation Z is far too young to remember MySpace, it was the first time Millennials were able to hook up with each other en masse. Facebook wasn't a thing until around 2008 - 2009.

@TheElitedeath Or a General Business Degree, which means jack all in today's society.
1
Born in the 1980s.... feel sorry for all you poor kids.
1
@Reee Flex Completely true. Your avatar from the original Deus Ex sort of hints where you're coming from.
1
Generation Y here, born in the mid 1980s. I feel sorry for all your kids.
1
I can only relate to the older Millennials.
1
@Im0nJupiter Higher rates of drug use and teen pregnancy was Generation X. Millennials basically backed off on those.
1
Got to feel sorry for you.

You were too young to really use dial-up, I believe you kids were already adapting to DSL and Cable. The mid 2000s was the real transition from dial-up and early DSL to more sustainable DSL and cable internet. Today you have cable and fiber internet. DSL only applies to people living deep in the woods who have no other choice to go by.

@GhostscoperHD You sound like a Donald Trump supporter.
