  2. The problem is we no longer live in a capitalist system. Too many people seem to think that capitalism is the problem. If that was, how was America on top for so long in the 20th Century? Every decade from the 1950’s to the 1990’s was a big step forward. Opportunities began to open up for minorities. Women could find employment when previously they were restricted. Our health system improved, our insurance paid for more costs, the average middle class American lived comfortably. I was around in the 80’s and 90’s so I lived that middle class experience. Today, most of us are poor, either forced to live back with parents or older people due to housing costs, or forced to take two jobs to make ends meet. You’re describing corporatism, which is actually communism wrapped in the guise of capitalism because media conglomerates and billion dollar corporations run everything.

  3. Also, I would rethink your views on socialism being the proper system when it actually denies the average person individual rights and freedoms. Please study 1930’s Germany and the Soviet Union. Look at what happened to some nations that existed throughout the mid - late 20th century when they were under tyranny. Countless innocent lives lost. People voted for a tyrant because Americans became stupid and fell for the propaganda. America is undermining all the efforts that previous generations worked for and sacrificed for in the name of freedom and equality. In actuality, history is repeating.
