  1. I remember 12 - 15 years ago when thousands of people on the internet commented they cut the cord, because cable TV prices were too high. Now the money people that previously controlled cable TV are in control of streaming services. It’s time to bail ship again.

  6. I have most of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s old movies on DVD. Got Bruce Lee’s classic films on it too. The complete series of OG Star Trek. Streaming services actually made the pictures worse when I tried to stream my favorite stuff.

  7. I do the same. I stumbled across some Three Stooges films on DVD, the DVDs that actually list the years in which the shorts were released. Bought them for very cheap, and despite not being modern 4K nor Blu-Ray, they still managed to look good on my 4K TV.

  8. I bought the original Japanese version of Demon’s Souls on the PS3. Played it and had a blast. Very cheap too.

  9. Physical media takes up space. If someone doesn’t wish to use physical but doesn’t want to pay high prices, piracy is the only way.

  10. This refers to the actual movies and TV shows. The modern stuff is awful. Japan and South Korea makes better shows. You can also try 80’s and 90’s cinema.

  13. This is me right now. I’m watching a Vincent Price movie and he was just great in it. Long time horror movie actor, great art collector, and a Shakespearean way of acting. I’ve also gone back to films like Rambo and Predator. Good old school action films that don’t need a high IQ to understand them. Just good old action.

  14. I don’t want the dial-up nor the old CRT monitors of 90’s internet. I want the freedom, the creativity, the atmosphere to come back.

  15. I don’t care if John Wayne’s face looks more chiseled. Some of his classic films have been worked on to give the 1080/4K resolution, which looks great. The actual quality of the film matters.

  17. All the TV stuff I watch is old. Andy Griffith, Golden Girls, Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In, etc etc. There was a time when TV shows on prime time weren’t there to insult the audience.

  18. 90’s cable TV was paying for a bill you got in the mail. You get the commercials and the shows, but it was very straightforward. Boomers didn’t pay nearly as much back then. And I was there back then, so I can speak from living memory.

  20. While I still buy physical, piracy is the only way you’re going to get quality if you just desire to do digital. Netflix has become a scam. From their trash shows like Cuties to deliberately lowering quality on the consumers end.
