@SkepticalMantisCHANNEL10 I’ve been around long enough to know you could post comments on other channels. YT started the purge a decade ago and it’s been downhill ever since.

I remember back in 2009 I met a lot of great people on this platform. Nowadays trying to find a honest creator and honest commentator is like finding a needle in a haystack.

@the757general2 I started Yakuza: Like A Dragon earlier this year and I stand by your statement. Also played Yakuza 0 thru Yakuza 3. It's one of the few "modern" franchises I bother playing on PC. Everything else I play is either old stuff or indie titles.

@theawesomeali8834 There’s no point. I regularly use alternate video platforms but they don’t have the pull to reach wider audiences. So it’s pointless to try to make any money off of them unless you are already an internet celebrity. Their video players also load slower than YT player does so hopefully they will be faster in the future. More people need to touch grass at this point. This terminally online lifestyle and passive aggressive tone coming from bots and NPCs isn’t helping anyone.

Google will die soon enough. I remember when Google actually cared about input. I spent my teen years going on Google Search and finding all kinds of cool websites made by people who wanted to make them. Today all that matters to Google is control. Their search is entirely useless, and I've had to rely on Brave and others for actual searches.

It looks like you share a passion for old school gaming. As someone who has been gaming for over 30 years, your channel is a gem.

@GamersBay I was born in the 80s, so a lot of stuff you Gen Xers say regularly goes by me. Saw your stuff on Baldur’s Gate and other all time classics.
2
@GamersBay Very sorry to hear this. I’ve been struggling too. Been exercising and keeping myself healthy, but they aren’t paying the bills. Both are important. Best of luck things turn around for you.
2
@GamersBay I’ve only watched a couple videos, so pardon when I say I haven’t seen much. Do you cover these older games? Would like to hear your views on these classics. Some of them helped shape up my childhood.

@GamersBay I agree fully. I remember in the early 90’s when arcades were jam packed. Nothing was recorded, it was all about living the moment. It was great. Something as harmful as cigarette smoking is now one of those nostalgia pieces. It’s harmful and I will never encourage anyone to smoke, but it was a part of American culture that no longer exists. Part of this is because smokers now have to pay extra in addition to the tobacco costs they have to pay just to access the drug. Think about money taken from their work paychecks. You punish smokers but our nation has the audacity to let these other substances that are far more dangerous go unchecked? It’s double standards. Just like how the comments section here has them.

Any time I say this my comment goes poof.
2
Agreed. I mostly play old stuff and indies.

I noticed I can’t click on your avatar on mobile. Any chance you got shadow banned recently or you said something not in compliance with YT guidelines? My profile does the exact same thing.

@theawesomeali8834 I was hit with a warning over a comment I made on a political conservative YT channel. It never told me what it was, but I’m absolutely certain which comment the algorithm was targeting. This is one of many reasons why I stopped posting content altogether. I have two videos from 2009 that are still up, and back then I had actual people post comments on them. Today if I tried posting a video clip from a movie it will have bots/AI all over the comments.

You remember that MySpace had a bunch of inactive accounts, and nobody cares enough to keep it running before it collapsed. YouTube is finished. From early 2005 to today, that’s a very long time to have a functional website. Most stuff from 2005 are relics of the past, only viewed by Archive or some other archive website. YT was great in 2006 - 2013, but it has long outlived its potential.

Trolling was fun back in the day.

@GamersBay I played the original long ago on GOG. Willing to give the enhanced version on Steam a try.

@orenz.272 At least The Greatest Generation turned the tide around in the 1940s. Can't expect such changes to happen with today's soy boys and hipster 20 - 30 something year olds living in an echo chamber.

@orenz.272 Bad ones mostly.

@PhilipMarcYT Jody Bruchon follower here.

@MicroWave233 Sleeping Dogs was great. Wei was a good role model too. Criminally underrated game from a company that has long since gone out of business.

Nintendo already went and shut down a good number of emulator sites years ago. Now it looks like they're pulling the same garbage again.

Not to mention the feminists and the leftists defending them.

There were things about old YouTube I didn’t like, but it was a far better platform for small creators. Now, they get nothing.

They are a big part of this decay we’re seeing.
