Most of us don’t want to be rich. We just want good homes with families and children who can pass the torch for us.

@fergusoharafoh The middle class has shrunk. It hit its peak prior to Reagan’s presidential run.

@liz090833 That’s the Boomers calling us lazy and entitled. Just like they called Gen Xers before us.

@liz090833 I’m sick of the Democrats. The Republicans supported neoconservatives who brought out much of the destruction that’s still being felt today. So what do we do? America is collapsing, and unfortunately, most people aren’t going to know how to survive until it’s too late.

@fergusoharafoh You just gave me a reason to put you on ignore.

@sandevieira5674 The Greatest Generation actually earned their keep. You Boomers spent your childhoods watching Andy Griffith, I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver and other wholesome shows. You had TV news media that respected its audience, and you could trust the media to give you something good. Today, kids are being bombarded from all angles. Our media dropped real journalism long ago, now just making propaganda for those who don’t know better. The average college kid graduates with a hefty amount of debt, and don’t think a summer job or part time job will pay that off because it won’t. You voted for Ronald Reagan and gave the a okay to ship manufacturing jobs overseas. What was once good paying jobs with union benefits is now slave labor, with no chance of being promoted. Management can fire you with the tip of the hat. So no. America is not doing better, it is getting worse. And you Boomers have done a lot to accelerate the decline.

@sandevieira5674 Nixon and Reagan both implemented policies that did monumental damage to America. The Greatest Generation was brought up in the Roaring Twenties and Great Depression. Both tough times which shaped them to be more hard, resilient human beings. The Boomers, their children, were given a pampered life in comparison. As a Millennial I still cannot afford a home, and I’m approaching my late 30’s. Wages are stagnant and our economy has reached insufferable inflation levels. College does not provide a good of education as it used to be. You’re expecting kids to pay $50 - 100 thousand dollars for university when they can barely afford basic necessities? There is a reason why the younger generations are looking down at you lot. And before you start telling us to pull up ourselves by the bootstraps, I can safely say we have already done that. The system we are living in now makes it more difficult to get places in life.

Tell this to the two guys in this video.

@elenaaltamar2055 They already banned the books. They still control our institutions and our facilities while leaving us behind in the global market.

@jordanas3750 Gen Xers were the first to get shafted. Anyone who has studied the careers of Kurt Cobain and Tupac Shakur knows they were Gen X rebels who hated the system. They were already demoralized, largely to do with poor childhoods but also because the Boomers resented them. Generation X was labeled the nothing generation. Talk shows in the 80’s/early 90’s were about ‘tough love’, an attitude propped up by Boomers to those younger than them. It is tragic that Gen Xers reaching 50 years old have had to suffer. And now their Zoomer children have given up hope on the American dream, which died long ago.
