  3. They put 180 dogs through vacuum chamber trials to determine exactly what point it starts to kill them, vs. how long they can survive. It's better than using humans, but, you can pretty much assume that the physiological reactions would be pretty equivalent. Why do you have "no doubt" that they've killed people doing this?

  5. But, in reality, they ARE. Well, not "rigid." But, the fabrics do have a limit to how much they stretch. It's not like a rubber band that just keeps stretching until it breaks. The easiest analogy I can give you is that it's a bit more like an elastic belt (though, even that analogy isn't perfect, but close enough). An elastic belt stretches, but, once it hits a certain limit, it just doesn't stretch any further. Spacesuits are like that. They do "puff up" to a certain limit. But, after that, the fabric just doesn't stretch any further.

  8. Back in the 1960s, they ran vacuum chamber trials with approximately 180 dogs, and subjected them to a nearly perfect vacuum for various lengths of time. Anything under 1.5 minutes, all of the dogs survived with no permanent damage. At around 2 minutes, that's when it started to result in damage or death in some of the dogs. It's probably a fair assumption that human tolerances would be about the same.

  10.  @noahgillespie5110  The atoms in space are very few and far between... so near a perfect vacuum that, for all practical purposes, everyone calls it a vacuum. And, what you're saying about hot atoms coming to a complete stop is ridiculous. They radiate heat, that's it. They don't spontaneously lose their heat just because they're in space. You don't have the foggiest understanding of this topic, and you shouldn't get your "education" from movies.
