@2strokepower803 Old high sulfur diesel was the best. Modern bio diesel is also very good too! The modern 'environmentally safe' parts washer stuff is beyond crap compared to any of the old stuff.

Context matters. Consumables have greatly improved in most areas over the decades but the machines that they go in have largely not. How many of today's machines of any field of use will still be not only running but have a huge collectors market following them? I bet near zero. However how many of those already 60 - 80 year old machines we collect now will still have a following and value in another 60 - 80 years? I bet most of them!

@noidontthinksolol yet today's fuels are shit and a half compared to the old stuff. I've started old tractors I've collected on fuel that was in their tanks over a decade before. Now I cant start the same tractors on new fuel that sat one winter even with the tractors all fixed up on top of it!
