Sadly too many are seeing these type of guys telling their stories about what their dads were and how it shaped them into the strong and capable people we see now and it makes them angry that they didn't have that or that they had some narcissistic feckless coward that would blame them for anything they perceived went less than perfect rather than man up and accept their mistakes for what they were and who actually did them. Sadly I find myself in that thought train and in return trying to do my best to be better for myself and the younger generation I interact with. I never got told stories from either of my parents about their mistakes growing up. They acted as if they were perfect and faultless their whole life despite the glaring evidence to the contrary. In return I don't do that to kids. I am very open with all of them that we adults made every mistakes the made and probably more and they are happy to know it's just life and how we all learn.

We all do it in some ways at some point. Most times it benign and harmless and we don't even consciously do it. It's when it becomes willful and deceptive that problems start coming up.

@caleb-gw8oo Took it as a at least 50/50 on it being in good fun. Pretty much everyone with an self respect knows that nobody is responsible for someone else's happiness, especially a womens at this point! :P I was married to one of those types and it sucked. It didn't matter what I did, it was never good enough even when the wants were totally self contradicting and she knew it, and what I got in return to make me happy pretty much didn't exist.

Just a patriotic old school classical liberal who hates what the far left is and stands for while acknowledging that the only way we got her is because conservatives went to sleep while on guard duty and never cared to wake up even as the invading army walked in right past them. The far left are evil and conservatives have proven themselves to be too big of self justifying cowards to ever do shit to save what they built and all of us in the middle have no idea where to start to fix any of this and are not even sure that if we try that anyone is going to do anything but fight us from both sides. I just hate that us old school liberals and centrists are now better at fighting for conservative lifestyle and values than they are by a long shot.

@rafaelborges8976 Thanks. Sort of just sorting thoughts out here today. Had some stupid stuff go down yesterday involving a younger family member (Gen Z and very adult and mature) that ALL of us (Me as a uncle of Gen X and grandparents of boomer level) who were there are sort of culpable for how it happened yet I'm the only on one trying to figure things out regarding how things went wrong at every point while separating the BS from the actual legal facts. The kid is stepping up and taking responsibility that she shouldn't need to take and the older gen is laying hell on me for something they have as much fault in as I do over wildly imagined scenarios I can't begin to keep up with. This morning I went and talked to local law enforcement to find out what is actually what. It went well. We are a good clean resectable family and she is a school leader so no big issue because we literally didn't know any better. The officer pretty much said kids don't know any better and most people like us don't either. Rather why for us a first offences under the circumstances that played out is a non issue. Not what the older ones are going on about and it looks bad and stupid to me and her for it. Mostly just frustrated with the immaturity of those who raised my generation and the ignorance it gave us for it. Also a bit humbled that 17 year old girl can 'adult up' better than all of us without even trying. :P

@knoaf9092 Easy way to cheat them on that. Just put all your replies back to them back to your own previous posts so that the auto notify doesnt let them know you posted a reply to them. Write out your reply them to yourself. BOOM! Make them work to have the conversation! The fact is pretty much all of those turd collectors are high post volum retards that get loads of hate replies which means to keep their petty buyllshit game going with you down to who gets the last post is hard if they have to manually search you out everyday to see if you replied back to them. :D Play smarter, not harder.

Most nonleftists request that they get to have a full unedited copy of everything that gets recorded so that the full complete contextually correct reality can be shown from the interaction. The leftist interviewers keep refusing to let them have that and thus the interviews never happen because both sides know the leftist narratives don't work when the unedited truth can be shown.

@carmiethompson2676 The interviews dont happen because everyone who is asked to go on one requests that they get a full unedited copy of everything that was recorded so that the unedited truths can be shown whenever the left tries to spin something to be anything other than what it is. The left won't do interviews with the right because they get called out and shown for the lying fools they have become. The right won't do interviews with the left unless they get a copy of the complete unedited raw recordings of the interviews in order to show when and how the Left is trying to lie.

@malditapeppas509 I see a lot of this being a strong parallel to the conservative right own burndown it did in the 80's and 90's when they thought letting the conservative christian rights bad end nutjobs run off the leash during 'the satanic panic' debacle where they acted pretty much like the hyper judgemental hypocrites of the far left today. Seemed like a great idea to let the nutters run loose and take care of things, until they took everyone down with them and now look at what's left of the conservative and conservative christian rights image and standings and what it's done to this country some 30 years later.
