  5. ​ @TheHistoryChap  U have half knowledge, that garrison had no army, it was food supply chain. When ottomans tortured Indian clerk & labours without food, Indian Army was sent from India. My grandfather was subedar major to take control of it back from ottomans when they ran & those who got caught was treated same way without food. Then came Indian cavalry in Haifa. So never mess with India, be it German or turks all will be dealt with smoothly.
