  7. the real reason why eating out is more common, is because western restaurants charge exorbitant amounts of money for little food, and also in the us expect tip on top of that, for example its literally cheaper to eat out every day in japan than to cook partially you are correct though, that in some places its due to the lower pay for service, but south korea and japan are closer to the west but still a LOT cheeper JAPAN IS NOT EXPENSIVE, its a lot cheeper than the uk and the us in almost every thing and the products you get are far more as well

ONE of the reasons why cooking at home is rarely a thing in japan and korea is because its literally a lot cheaper to buy food outside. a single green pepper could co for $30. so yeah somethings are a lot more expensive like fruits and vegetables, but meat is cheaper in japan along with most restaurants because of economy of scale and the efficiency of the market

  13.  @bryanboone7363  do you have stats to back it up? its universally cheeper to do everything in japan, every thing in the west is just overly expensive, if you look up price statistics the living cost is far higher in north america and europe vs countries like japan and south korea including other asian tiger countries like taiwan hongkong and singapore with higher services as well.

  21. ​ @nguyenvanduy247  you still have not given any evidence that supports the claim you made that its because of msg that has caused those problems. this has always been an ongoing issue, caused by propaganda. the usa has been doing the msg scare for ages it was used to marginalize the chinese populations which at the time would only be allowed to run washing houses and resturants and to ward people off from going there, and funny you say people in the south say this, because the same propaganda the usa would tell to the south during the vietnam war to belittle the communists up north. telling their soldiers that the northerners would poison the food with msg and other substances so don't accept random food offers, they also told lies like how the north would never brush their teach and they would never have straight teeth etc, the whole msg scare was just an anti china thing from the cold war, which has long anti asian presidence. no one cares about msg even in japan nowadays, this is a long outdated claim and most people are not educated about this. it also helps that american has a strong culture export around the world, so the whole food culture their gets exported elsewhere, like places like australia and canada even have slowly started adding stuff like tipping due to american influence.

  22. you forgot to mention that rice is also the LEAST nutritious grain out of the bunch, which is one of the reasons why asians are a lot shorter than their western counterparts or adopted children in western families. they even did a study on this. people who grow up with a more european centric diet grow up to be taller and higher muscle mass and bone density it isn't genetic, other wise no one would explain the massive height growth in the region once people started adopting more meat in their diet, south korea is the biggest impact out of the bunch, its the same with the dutch and the nordic states who went from being midgets in europe averaging about 163 cm for males. to now averaging 183 cm for males. all due to the industrial revolution and diet change.
