@charlesburgoyne-probyn6044 japan was stupid as fuck, they attacked pearl harbour for such a retarded reason, to the point where most people think its an inside job.
also they colluded with the soviets signing a peace basically betraying germany. if japan listened to the army and actually attacked the soviets or occupied seribia during the russian revolution they could have took a huge chunk of the land, and fought a defensive war over it, much easier in the west where russia has no industry.
but no they had to attack china which btw was willing to ally with japan, with the kmt chiang even begging for them to stop. and wang jing wei who was willing to work with thet japanese, also china was literally germany's ally,
china and germany literally had a defense agreement and german officers trained all the kmt troops, so german literally helped china during the sino japanese war, the first one at least.
germany should have added china to the axis instead of japan, let japan attack america alone and piss them off, then let them waste americas resources. or just keep allying with the soviets until they knock out Britain. spam u-boats since they were the most successfull of the groups etc. and invade the middle east to control all the oil. rommel lost because he was outnumbered 10 to 1 in the end.
if the germanys brought the entire army to africa they would have anniliated the british forces.
