  1. you realize russia and china are two of the countries with the largest amount of rare earth materials on earth right? there are several reasons why they invaded, nato thing is one thing, but a huge problem was the gas pipelines which ran right through ukraine and russia was forced to pay a huge amount to them every time they moved gas through, in addition to this, they were cutting off supplies to crimea etc
