  1. thats because everyone now is a glass canon that can one shot everything, almost no armor is gonna stop a .50 cal or even a rail gun a missle strike etc, our offensive power got so huge that any armor is now useless, same with predators, sharks and whales dolphins have only gotten smarter and more efficent shells wouldn't do much in modern age only slow it down, for example if some one invented force fields that could stop nukes and everyone could wear them like halo sheilds then people will start using armor again
